Auris Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 10, 2026
Auris („Auris,” „we,” „us,” or „our”) provides a mobile application that helps individuals document and organize information related to a divorce or custody case. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By creating an account or using Auris, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials (or, if you sign in with Apple, the identifier Apple provides). We use this solely to authenticate you and secure your account.
Case records you create. Auris lets you log incidents, expenses, documents, communications, custody events, court dates, attorney notes, assets, mood check-ins, contacts, and reminders. This content is encrypted on your device before it is ever sent to our servers — see „How We Protect Your Data” below.
Attachments. Photos and files you attach to a record are stored in encrypted form in our file storage.
Subscription and purchase information. If you subscribe to Auris Pro, your purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We (via our subscription provider, RevenueCat) receive confirmation of your subscription status — such as whether it’s active, in a trial, or cancelled — but we never receive your payment card or Apple ID password.
Support requests. If you contact support from within the app, we receive your account email and the message you send.
Basic technical information. Like most apps, our infrastructure providers automatically log basic technical data (such as IP address and request timestamps) needed to operate the service securely and reliably.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts from your device’s address book, or browsing history, and we do not use advertising trackers.
2. How We Protect Your Data
Your case records are encrypted on your device before they are transmitted or stored. This means the content of your incidents, documents, notes, and other case data is not readable by us in the ordinary course of operating the app.
Your account email, subscription status, and basic account metadata are not end-to-end encrypted, since we need them to operate your account (for example, to sign you in or verify your subscription).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide, maintain, and secure the Auris app and your account
- Process and manage your subscription
- Respond to support requests you send us
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your case data for advertising or share it with data brokers.
4. Who We Share Information With
We share information only with the service providers that help us run Auris, and only to the extent needed for them to perform their function:
- Supabase — our database and file storage provider, which hosts your account information, encrypted case records, and encrypted attachments.
- Apple — processes App Store subscription payments and, if you use Sign in with Apple, authentication.
- RevenueCat — manages and verifies subscription status on our behalf.
These providers are contractually and technically limited to using your information to provide services to us — not for their own purposes. We do not share your information with advertisers or other third parties for marketing.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Auris, our users, or others.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account and case data for as long as your account is active.
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account within the app. This immediately and permanently removes your case records, attachments, and account information from our systems.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can export your case data as a report from within the app (More → Export & Reports), and you can delete your account and all data at any time as described above. To exercise any other privacy rights, contact us using the details below.
7. Children’s Privacy
Auris is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. International Users
Your information may be processed and stored in data centers located outside your country of residence, including within the European Union. By using Auris, you consent to this transfer and processing.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means before the change takes effect. The „Effective date” above reflects the date of the latest revision.
